The Japanese Twin Size Futon Mattress measures 39x79x2.5in (100x200x6cm) and is composed of 100% cotton outer fabric, a firm 100% polyester inner pad, and 100% polyester quilted pads on the top and bottom. The Japanese Twin Size Tatami Mat, on the other hand, measures 39x79x0.4in (100x200x1cm) and is made of 100% undyed rush grass Igusa, lined with a thick polyester felt sheet on the bottom side.

[JAPANESE FUTON MATTRESS] The Japanese traditional tri-foldable design Futon Mattress, also known as a shiki-buton, is easy to carry and store. The firm polyester pad is sandwiched between soft quilted pads on the top and bottom, and the outer fabric is 100% natural cotton. This Futon Mattress provides firm support while still offering a soft and natural touch, thanks to the quality craftsmanship of experienced Japanese artisans.

[TATAMI MAT (IGURSA MATTRESS)] The Tatami Mat is a piece of Japanese floor covering that is lightweight and compactly foldable in four. Woven tightly from natural rush grass, it controls humidity by absorbing and releasing moisture. Beyond serving as an underlay for the Futon, the Tatami Mat can be easily folded and carried to a yoga class or a picnic. Planned and designed in Japan, it is produced in a selected factory in China.

[HOW TO CARE] For the Futon Mattress, machine washing is not recommended. Instead, it should be dried under the sun or in a well-ventilated area to release moisture and odor. It is advised to use a cover (not included in this set) and wash the cover regularly. As for the Tatami Mat, it is also non-washable and should be dried in the shade in a well-ventilated place on a sunny day to release moisture and odor. When dirty, the Tatami Mat can be wiped along the grain with a dry cloth.
